We know that everyone needs minimum six to eight hours of deep sleep. It is said that having a night’s sleep better is a sign of a happy person. In today’s modern age, the younger generation has a habit of checking their mobiles before going to bed. In addition, Facebook, Whats app and Instagram is literally making bad habits of late sleep. Phone light is proving to be very bad for the brain. Phone light does not allow to develop essential element called “melatonin” to be developed, and create illness called insomnia. Physical and mental anxiety also often leads to insomnia. The problem of not being able to sleep at night is serious but taking insomnia pills is more serious for health. Such pills make the body feel restless and tired. Irritability also occurs often. Such drugs have a very bad effect on the kidneys, so if we adopt home remedies without taking such pills, they do not have any side effects on the body at all. Ayurveda has the solution to all problems.
Lets try these home remedies which helps you to get a sleep : –
- After washing hands and feet with water before going to bed, rub ghee on forehead. Rubbing ghee improves sleep.
- If you can’t sleep, make onion raita and eat it at night to get a good night’s sleep.
- A good night’s sleep comes from rubbing peppermint powder and rubbing castor oil on the feet.
- Regular Asanas like Shavasana for good sleep to get rid of the problem of insomnia.
- Drinking cold aniseed(Fennel)milk and sugar syrup helps you sleep better at night
- If you have trouble falling asleep at night, mix nutmeg (“Jaayaphal”), pepper root and sugar in milk and drink it at bedtime to get a good sleep.
- A bowl of 2 to 3 grams of poppy seeds(“khaskhas ke beej”) with sugar and honey or sugar and ghee at bedtime gives a good sleep.
- Throat substances are helpful in bringing sleep. Eating fifty grams of jaggery or any sweet thing before going to bed every night removes the complaint of insomnia. But patients with diabetes should not do this experiment.
- Eat raw onion with lettuce or dry the onion, grind it, squeeze the juice and drink two tablespoons of juice daily. This eliminates the complaint of insomnia.
